WP.1 – Project coordination

Leaded by: CTTC

Description: The main objectives of this WP are the administrative and technical planning, monitoring and control of the project and to assists and manage the communication among the consortium partners, the CPAs and the European Commission (EC). To assess the performance of the developed products and tools.

WP.2 – User requirements and assessment

Leaded by: IGME-CSIC

Description: The main objectives of this WP are: (i)To define credible user needs to establish realistic requirements to guide the products and tools development. (ii) To define a procedure to assess the products and tools developed and to evaluate the progress during the development phase. (iii)To assess the performance of the developed products and tools.

WP.3 – Development of tools for EGMS simplification (2G-ADAtools)

Leaded by: CTTC

Description: The main goal of this work package is to provide a tool to automatically extract critical areas in terms of ground motion from the EGMS products. This goal will be achieved by fulfilling the following specific goals: (i) Upscale ADAtools; (ii) Optimise ADAtools parameters; (iii) Implementation of the ADAtools outputs tailored to the user requirements and; (iv) Quality control and system testing.

WP.4 – Development of tools for EGMS Interpretation (ADA Classifier tool)

Leaded by: CPC-UNIFI

Description: This work package aims to provide a tool for semi-automatic and preliminary extraction and interpretation of the areas affected by active deformation (ADA) to ease the categorisation and interpretation of the ADA, discriminating the ones with the highest potential impact in terms of geohazard management. This main goal will be achieved thorough the following specific objectives: (i) To provide a tool to perform a semi-automatic classification of the mapped ADAs in terms of deformation processes and triggering factor. (ii) To provide a tool to classify the behaviour of each hazard type in the time domain.

WP.5 – Development of tools for impact/risk assessment (ADA-Impact tools)

Leaded by: IGOT

Description: This work package aims to provide decision makers tools to assess exposure and the potential impact of the detected active hazards and to support risk assessment. This main goal will be achieved thorough the following specific objectives: (i) To identify and classify the exposed elements including critical infrastructures. (ii) To assess vulnerability of the exposed elements (for people and assets). (iii) To provide a tool to analyse risk by crossing active hazards and vulnerability of exposed elements.

WP.6 – Demonstration in a cross-border region

Leaded by: IGME-CSIC

Description: The main goal of this WP is to demonstrate the performances of the developed tools on the first delivery of EGMS, focusing on European cross-border regions. For that purpose: (i) All the tools developed in the project (WP3, WP4, WP5) will be tested in the Portugal- Spain border. (ii) The tools for the detection and classification of active deformation areas will be tested in the cross-border regions of the European countries involved in the project through EuroGeosurveys.

WP.7 – Dissemination

Leaded by: CTTC

Description: This WP aims to disseminate the results of the project among CPAs, potential end users and general public.
